    Article Summary

Type of content we look for

    • Low polygon models compatible with Element3D
    • Characters
    • Objects
    • Icons
    • Buildings

    Technical requirements

    Accepted file types:

    • Cinema 4D (.c4d)
    • Maya (.ma, .mb)
    • Lightwave (.lwo, .lw,.lws)
    • Cinema 4D (.c4d)
    • Kayadara FBX (.fbx)
    • 3DS Max(.3ds)
    • OBJ (.obj)
    • AutoCAD Drawing (.dwg)
    • IGES (.ige, .igs, .iges)
    • BLENDER (.blend)
.blend is the format used by Blender. Each .blend file contains a database. This database contains all scenes, objects, meshes, textures, etc. that are in the file.
    • COLLADA (.dae)
.dae was designed as format for COLLAborative Design Activity for establishing an interchange file format for interactive 3D applications. Also used as native format in the same spirit as X3D.
    • 3D Printing (.stl)
.stl is a file format native to the stereolithography CAD software created by 3D Systems. This file format is supported by many other software packages; it is widely used for rapid prototyping and computer-aided manufacturing.
    • VRML (.wrl)
    • X3D - Extensible 3D Graphics (.x3d, .x3dv)

    Step 1: Prepare

Prepare your 3D file for sale so that your buyers can use it with ease.

    Step 2: Upload

Prepare a separate .zip file for each product

    • Compress each 3D model file into a .zip file.
    • Name each .zip file descriptively in English, e.g. "running-dog.zip", which will also serve as the product title.
    • Maximum file size: 4GB

Upload your files on the Upload page

    • Previews and thumbnails will be generated automatically.

    Bulk upload by FTP (optional)

    Step 3: Upload preview video

A "turntable" is a sequence of image renderings that plays within the Preview Window. Turntables provide for a complete view of your 3D model so buyers can have a fuller understanding of the product.

We recommend to use 36 images (up to a max of 72) for your turntable at a minimum 1920 x 1080 resolution. All of your turntable images must be at that same resolution in one of these formats: jpg, png, bmp, and gif.

You must sequentially number your turntable images starting with 0. eg. 0, 1, 2, 3 and so on.

    Best practices to follow:

    • For ideal results, we suggest centering your model at the origin (0,0,0).
    • To ensure that your animations maintain the same speed between frames, set your key interpolation type to Linear so that the animation keeps the same speed between frames.

    Optional:

To create a "turntable" preview video, place the created object at the origin coordinates, render it to rotate 360 degrees, and create a preview video. For Cinema 4D, we have .C4D data for preview reference - take a look.

After creating the preview movie, proceed to upload.

    Step 4: Tag & publish

Ensure that the following details are entered and tagged

    • Production source: Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, 3DS max, Modo, ZBrush
    • Rendering: Native (standard), Redshift, Octane, Cycles, VRay
    • Geometry: Constituent shape (triangle, quadrangle, polygon (N-gon)
    • Polygons Count
    • Vertex Count
    • Presence of materials
    • Materials: It sets the texture; a reflection of metal and transparency of glass.
    • Texture: Patterns and pictures to paste on objects
    • Shader: Texture created by internal calculation of c4d
    • Presence of UV map
    • Size; is it original size?
    • Has it been subdivided/smoothed?
    • Are all major parts of the model individual objects?
    • Presence of plug-in
